2023: It Will Be More Worrisome To Allow APC Remain In Office – Atiku

Local

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has suggested why Nigerians should vote against the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general elections.

Atiku in a statement on Sunday said it would be worrisome to allow the APC to remain in office beyond May 29, 2023. According to the former Vice President, the 2023 poll is an opportunity for Nigerians to choose between certainty and a promise of failures, a choice between freedom and doom. He added that though it won’t be an easy task, it is time efforts must be made to set Nigeria free from socio-economic hardship. The statement reads in part: “I know that it is not an easy task. But it will be more worrisome to allow the APC remain in office one more day after May 29. “The election that is ahead of us is a choice between the certainty of a better Nigeria and a promise of failures by the APC. “It’s a choice between freedom and doom. And I trust that you will do your all in ensuring that Nigeria is free from socio-economic hardship.”

Kwankwaso Still In The Race

The presidential candidate of the New Nigerians Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Sunday spoke on stepping down for another presidential candidate. Kwankwaso debunked the report that he is planning to back other presidential candidates in the 2023 race. The former governor of Kano State dispelled this in a statement released by the spokesman of his presidential campaign organisation, Ladipo Johnson. There had been speculations online that Kwankwaso would step down for either the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar or the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu. Johnson in a statement made available to newsmen said the NNPP Presidential candidate is in the race to win.
