2023: Reactions As Ortom Reveals He Is Not Ready To Support Atiku Yet

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has caused a stir after he revealed on Wednesday that he has not made up his mind about supporting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar for the 2023 presidency.

He said his support for Atiku Abubakar depends on the instruction from God, adding that he is still waiting to hear from God before he can support Atiku in the 2023 Presidential election. He further stated that he is fasting and praying about the issue. Naija News reports Ortom stated these while speaking on Arise TV on Wednesday morning. The governor added that the party’s best choice for the Vice-Presidential candidate would have been his Rivers state counterpart, Nyesom Wike due to his commitment to the PDP. Ortom disclosed that he expects Atiku to meet with Wike and other governors to explain his choice of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as his running mate.
