We’ve got a bit of a mystery on our hands if we’re completely honest. There’s a chance Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in EastEnders is going to die.

Next week.

Let us explain.

Currently behind bars and still refusing to turn police informant, Phil manages to get himself a new enemy – prisoner Craig.

Keen to know what his family are up to; Phil then turns to another inmate called Ravi and asks him to get a burner phone.

Later on, Phil calls Kat (Jessie Wallace), but there’s cause for concern when the line suddenly goes dead.

In prison, Phil ends up in a huge fight with Craig, causing the prison guards to step in and sort things out.

Phil then meets with DI Keeble who warns him he won’t survive much long in prison, giving him 48 hours to make a decision on her offer.

The next day, however, is when the drama really starts.

Craig sends Phil a sinister warning – he dies tomorrow.

Getting desperate, Phil turns to Ravi and offers to pay him to back him up.

When Craig finds Phil, he reminds him time is very much running out and later that day, Craig and his men arrive.

Are we about to say goodbye to Phil Mitchell?

Or can someone save him?
