Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) find themselves holding the fort in EastEnders soon as Mick (Danny Dyer) and Shirley (Linda Henry) leave.
Don’t worry, while we know Danny is leaving soon, this isn’t an official exit – more like a holiday.
The week begins with Janine not in the best of moods, as she learns Mick is planning on supporting Linda ahead of her meeting with the social worker, which has been organised after Linda drank and crashed her car with baby Annie inside.
The next day, Sharon (Letitia Dean) tells Linda she doesn’t have to prove herself to anyone, but she confidently tells Mick she wants to return to work at the pub.
Mick eventually agrees but tells Linda that he’s off to see Zsa Zsa with Shirley soon, so the only people looking after the pub will just be her and Janine.
As Mick and Shirl head off, Linda starts to enjoy bossing Janine around at The Vic.
But will this end in disaster?
Or could they find some common ground while Mick and Shirley are away?
