Mall of America on lockdown after ‘shots fired’

The Mall of America was placed on lockdown due to a ‘confirmed isolated incident.’

The Bloomington Police said they were responding to an ‘active incident’ at the mall.

Police began lifting the lockdown 5.40 CT, but said the Mall would remain closed for the rest of the night.


The mall near Minneapolis, Minnesota, instructed shoppers to ‘remain in the closest secure location until the lockdown has been lifted.

It is unclear what incident took place, but gunshots can be heard on videos recorded and posted on social media.
