Nigerian journalist, David Hundeyin on Tuesday revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari-led government released funds to purchase vehicles for the Niger Republic.
The document shared by the journalist on his platform shows that the Federal Government purchased ten Toyota Land Cruiser V8 for the Niger Republic. Further details revealed that the vehicles were purchased from an automobile dealer, Kaura Motors Nigeria Limited. Naija News had earlier reported that the Federal Government on Wednesday confirmed that it purchased ten vehicles for the Niger Republic. The confirmation was made by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed. Ahmed while addressing newsmen after the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja, disclosed the purchase of ten vehicles valued at N1,145,000,000 for the Niger Republic. The Federal Government while defending its action claimed that it supported Niger Republic government to help tackle insecurity.
