Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger posted a message on his social media page to show support to his former teammate Umar Sadiq.
Umar was diagnosed with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) on Monday and will miss the rest of the season.
The big Nigerian Forward suffered the injury during Real Sociedad’s clash with Getafe on Sunday, and was replaced immediately.
It was also only his third game for Basque based outfits since his big money move from UD Almería on his final day of the summer transfer window.
After Real Sociedad confirmed that the Player will undergo surgery, Rudiger took to his page to show support.
“Stay strong my brother, Almighty knows why. Come back stronger,” the former AS Roma defender shared on his IG Story.
Rudiger, a German international of Sierra Leone descent played with Sadiq during his time with Italian side AS Roma.
Sadiq joined the White and Blues on a five-year contract from Almeria, while he found the net on his debut against Atletico Madrid.
